The "Flip-Lock" Herbst of TP Orthodontics can be open and closed easily. Just rest a Weingart plier on the ball hinge of the herbst and push with the other surface of the pliers against the pistons. To detach the tube from the ball hing in the maxilar just turn it 180 degrees. To close it place it upside down on the ball hing and turn it 180 degree back. To fix the pistons on the ball hing in the mandibular just place at with the hands on the ball than squeez it with the Weingart on the ball.
